the powerline project: moorefield

The powerline project began quietly within the confines of my hourly commute every morning. I'd originally intended to just shoot what I saw along the way and probably come up with some "Life as Art" concept that could be fine tuned later but, as usual, the more I engaged myself, the more I started to see. Not only did powerlines themselves become an object of fascination to me but the entire concept of what we allow ourselves to miss, as we whiz by the world in a metal box, began to saturate my perspective. Even the metal box has simply become an ends to a mean, as I find myself exiting it more and more in the spirit of creativity and inspiration. Now over a year old, the project has spilled into new concepts and titles, and as photography tends to do, has once again redefined the world I see and the way I go about seeing it.
